Product Design Engineer / Technologist
We need an experienced and extremely well organised Product Design Engineer /Technologist to join our centrally based Sydney sheet metal Manufacturing Company.
Purpose and Specific Skills for the role:
- To facilitate efficiencies of manufacturing facility by application of world class engineering design practices
- Design, plan and coordinate production of customer orders where the customer has not provided appropriate drawings for manufacture and to ensure that they are available for delivery in a timely and cost effective manner
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines when required
- Time management and resource planning & management in line with company objectives
- Demonstrable literacy to develop design, interpret drawing and support manufacturing department to production
- Computer Aided Design (Auto CAD) Software
- Adobe Illustrator (AI) Software
- At least 2 years of design experience in a similar position
- Experience in 2D/3D Computer Aided Design work
- Associate Degree or Bachelor degree level qualification required
Responsibilities of the role:
- Prepare appropriate manufacturing drawings consistent with customer requirements and support the factory production processes to ensure that the product meets customer specifications
- Where the customer has supplied representative samples only, prepare drawings from samples and ensure that requirements are met through prototype testing and verification
- Liaise with customers regarding products, designs/drawings supplied, manufacturing processes and techniques
- Prepare manufacturing programs for each of the product designed or drawings generated
- Where considered necessary, prepare prototypes for testing and verification purposes before full scale production of the item commences
- Design the aesthetics, materials and functionality of components
- Use CAD, CAN and CAM systems to design and visualise project
Salary: $58,000 plus superannuation
Hours 6am to 4pm

Metal Machinist
We need an experience and extremely well organised Metal Machinist with excellent eye of detail to join our cetrally based Sydney Sheet Metal Manufacturing Company
IMMEDIATE START - Full time Position - Morning/Afternoon Shift
Reporting to the Production Manager the Metal Machinist must be skilled in the following areas:
- studying drawings and specifications to determine suitable material, method and sequence of operations, and machine settings
- fitting fabricated metal parts into products and assembling metal parts and subassemblies to produce machines and equipment
- checking fabricated and assembled metal parts for accuracy, clearance and fit using precision measuring instruments
- setting guides, stops and other controls on machining tools, setting up prescribed cutting and shaping tools and dies in machines and presses, and setting controls for textile machines
- forming metal stock and castings to fine tolerances using machining tools to press, cut, grind, plane, bore and drill metal
- cutting, threading, bending and installing hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines
- preparing pattern mechanisms to control the operation of textile machines used to spin, weave, knit, sew and tuft fabric
- diagnosing faults and performing operational maintenance of machines, and overhauling and repairing mechanical parts and fluid power equipment
- may erect machines and equipment on-site
Skills and Experience Required:
- Minimum Certificate III level qualification with atleast 4 years of work experience in related field. Must have proven experience and skill as a metal machinist in recent 5 years
- Ability to perform long hours under pressure with precision
Salary: $60,000 to $65,000.00 per annum

Sheet Metal Welder(2-4positions)
You will be responsible and not limited to:
- Read and interpret drawings
- Welding skills & techniques for steel, stainless steel & aluminium welding using mig weldger, tig welder incl. setting welder for the job
- Competent in the use of hand and power tools
- Fabricate to specifications
- Cleaning and smoothing welds by filing, chiselling and grinding
- Examining welds for width of bead, penetration and precision
- Aligning parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments
- Joining metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting and riveting
- Finishing products by cleaning, polishing, filing and bathing in acidic solutions
- Troubleshoot broken areas
- Cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches and metal cutting machines
- Shaping and bending metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, and by heating and hammering
Preferred Skills:
- Have AQF certificate III including atleast 5 years of experience
- Hand eye co-ordination, excellent fabrication and high pressure welding skills
- Physical and mental endurance

IMMEDIATE START - Full time Position - Morning/Afternoon Shift
Reporting to the Production Manager the Electronic Equipment Trades Worker must be skilled in the following areas:
- Installation, commissioning, maintenance, repair and calibration of industrial process control systems and instrumentation at ENI Industries
- Examining and testing machines, equipment, instruments and control systems to diagnose faults
- Adjusting, repairing, and replacing worn and defective parts and wiring, and maintaining machines, equipment and instruments
- Reassembling, test operating and adjusting equipment
- Advising users of correct operating procedures to prevent malfunctions
- Installing electronic instruments and control systems
- Applying knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical principles in commissioning and maintaining control systems
- Calibrate electrical or electronic equipment and instruments according to technical manuals and written instructions
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions
- Perform and/or oversee troubleshooting and maintenance necessary to keep observing instruments operating at their peak efficiency on a daily basis
- Perform modifications to improve performance or operating efficiency of observatory instruments/ sensors
- Modify electronic/electrical assemblies as required, according to schematic drawings
- Perform shop maintenance, which includes repair, maintenance and calibration of test equipment, testing of spare parts
- Update documentation of all types: schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams, maintenance logs, instruction manuals, etc., to keep documentation ready for use as needed
Salary is $1,215.00 per week
